This was a great reason to buy candy! I bought candy to stage this picture and of course ate it right after. Can you blame me? It was chocolate! This is the pocket card I tried and I did a birthday version since you can't have too many of those! The top pocket has a "happy birthday" designer paper. The bottom picture gives you a better view of the tags I made to go into this card. Also, I inked around the edges on the white paper on the tags if you can't tell to give it more definition. I hope you enjoyed looking at my version of this card and you got some inspiration to make your own!

Double Ribbon Bow and Pinwheels
I'm going to make this post short and sweet. These are the two simple cards I made today. The pinwheel I had laying around after the last time I made them and the other card I tried making a double ribbon bow technique.

Interlocking Card
Has anyone ever tried this technique? I'm still thinking about trying it, but want to look into it more first. Maybe I'll do some trial and error.
http://www.papercraftjunkies.com/content/2009/03/interlocking-cards-tutorial/
On another note I bought tons of paper, ink, brads, and hears today to make cards. I bought gears and brads for the robot cards I started today. I'm so excited because it's one of my favorite stamo sets! It's so unique.
Also, I updated all of the blogs I'm currntly following and I'm still in progress with several cards. I just need to sit down and tell myself they need to get finished haha.

Squirrels!!!!!!!!
When I saw the OWH challenge for this week I loved the sketch (Sketch #65). When I looked through my stamp collection I realized I hadn't used this cute squirrel yet and I love how I finally found a reason to use him. This card was also used in FTL #136 at the Clean&Simple Blog.
On a different note I've got a poket card I need to buy a candy bar to stage it for a picture and it will be complete! Don't you just love reasons to buy chocolate? I've also got a flower card and an album that needs to be completed. Luckily I don't need to do much to any of them.

Joy Fold Card
I tried doing the Joy Fold Card technique today and I'm absolutely in love with it. I highly recommend this type of card to beginner cardmakers if you're looking to try something new! I made two of these today to add to my collection. I was in dire need of some birthday cards! You'll definitely see more of these in the future on my blog. Also, I've still got some cards in progree that you'll see later this week. My craft room looks like a tornado went through it and it needs to be cleaned up before I make anything else.
On another note I'm going to try this accordian card tutorial here next: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/accordion_card/
I've made two accordians before I even made this blog so it'd be nice to try it again. I think these measurements are different than the ones I've got. On another note I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was full of new experiences! I'm definitely looking forward to what this week has in store. Also, I think I need to take a trip to JoAnns and Michaels to buy ribbon. I need wider ribbon for some of the projects I want to do. Anyways onto the card I made...

Current Project Info
So I found the cutest tutorial online on how to make a flower pot card yesterday and I'm trying to put the finishing touches to it before it reaches this page. Anyways so I know for next December I'll need close to 25 Christmas cards. How crazy is that?! Anyways I finally got around to counting what I've made so far and my official total is 18 for right now. I think I'll take a break and make more birthday and thank you cards. Hopefully I'll get my card posted tomorrow! All it needs is ribbon and maybe some more leaves. Since I'm currently on Spring Break I'll be able to spend more time doing challenges and creating cards.

A Love Card
I didn't work today as a substitute so I made another gatefold card! It's all pretty in gold and I just love the stamps I used. I mixed it up a bit. The flower came from s Stampin Up set and the quote I'm not sure where I got it from. I love how the quote I stamped fits so perfectly with this card though. I really want to make more pinwheels and find some other cool techniques to do. Anyone have any cool suggestions? I bought something similiar to vellum today to mess with over the weekend. Be on the look out you might see some crazy techniques! Next week is Spring Break for the school systems here so that means I'll have a full week to make some crazy cool cards! I think I'm going to donate a bunch of cards to Operation Write Home during that time frame. I keep saying I'll do it, but I always get busy. There aren't enough hours in the day! Maybe I'll get around to participating in challenges since I really miss doing that.

Addicted to Pinwheels
I tried pinwheels finally and I'm addicted! What do you think? On the first and second card the text was done using rub-ons. All of the paper and embellishments came from my stash. It's so much fun being able to use up scraps. Now I know the last card doesn't have a pinwheel, but I enjoy it's simplistic quality.
The above card was entered into the OWH Layers Challenge

Miss You
This is my first attempt at the stair step fold. The bears and the text came from the OWH page. I colored the bears with my Prismas. What are your thoughts? I like the concept of this style of card, but I'm not sure it's practical for myself as I write a lot of stuff. It was fun to try. If you want the tutorial for this card visit owh stars and stamps blog. I'm thinking of sending this card to one of my friends who's currently in the army. I'd love to hear feedback on this card! Hopefully I can improve on it at some point.

Going Camo
After my friend got in touch with me while stationed in Korea I got the inspiration I needed to make a card! Isn't he just adorable? The image and saying are free if you visit the OWH page. I'm still uncertain about the placement of the buttons and if I should change then up. My friend Hannah gave me the suggestion of adding stars in place of the buttons. What do you think?
