Taiwan

I've received my first postcard from Taiwan! Isn't it amazing?

1. Mt. Ali or Alishan does not belong to Yushan National Park. Alishan is next to Yushan National Park, but not inside the National Park.

2. The Couple trees. The correct name is Husband and Wife trees or complete name: The Tatajia Husband and Wife trees. Husband and Wife trees are conjoined trees:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inosculation

(see below, the 'Example' - you will find an article about Husband and Wife trees, including Tatajia)

3. Although the word Mt. Ali is displayed on the front of the postcard, but the Husband and Wife trees does not belong to Mt. Ali. These trees are within Yushan National Park.

Therefore, your Taiwan card has no relation with Mt. Ali.

This postcard has been taken out of production long since I received it.

Thank you to a fellow Postcrosser for the information!
